O.D., B.H.SC (HONS)
Henry Wong, O.D., B.H.Sc (Hons) is a dedicated healthcare professional with a strong foundation in human health sciences, ocular visual sciences, and mental health services. He earned his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from the University of Waterloo in 2011 and holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) undergraduate degree from McMaster University, where he graduated with academic distinction and was named to the Dean’s Honour List.
Henry’s interests span the interconnected fields of human and population health, ocular and vision care, and counselling psychology. With over a decade of experience in clinical Optometry, he has provided comprehensive, compassionate care to diverse patient populations, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health education.
Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, Henry is committed to expanding his skills to serve individuals facing mental health challenges. In this lifelong learning journey, he aims to become a registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, integrating evidence-based practices with authentic empathy, clear communication, and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience. Grounded in a belief in collaborative healing, he aspires to walk alongside others through their journey toward resilience and recovery toward wellness.
